Description

ONE Dev, LLC is seeking a Test Engineer to support the newly awarded contract to refactor the Space Defense Operations Center (SPADOC)/ Space Predictive Effects Analysis Results Reporting (SPEARR) database in support of the 18th Space Defense Squadron, and their operational mission located at Vandenberg, SFB. As a member of our team, you will support the testing, configuration, and verification for the deployment of database software within SPADOC/SPEARR.

The Test Engineer develops, maintains, and evaluates complex engineering computer systems. Performs coding, testing, installing, and maintaining engineering computer programs having features including multiplicity of function, critical constraints, and elaborate input/output. Develops computer program documentation and operational procedures. Prepares project resource estimates, schedules, and cost analyses. Provides diagnostic support to correct processing anomalies in complex computer programs. Assists in the preparation of specifications and other activities that require knowledge of programming principles and techniques. Interprets requirements and perform analyses to ensure that objectives are met. Assists in the training of less experienced personnel.

Typical Duties Include:

  • Support Agile team(s) in review and refinement of Acceptance/Verification/Validation Criteria and Software/System Test approaches.
  • Lead Agile team(s) in development and implementation of testing infrastructure for Product software/systems.
  • Attend and Participate in Periodic Large Scale Agile Planning events.
  • Attend and participate in standard Agile ritual meetings (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives).

Qualifications & Skills

Knowledge of software testing and test methodologies, including the following:
-Ability to create new test plans and correlating test steps to requirements.
-Ability to modify existing test plans while maintaining system requirement references
-Ability to test software accuracy and its usability
-Ability to articulate issues and provide clear repeatability of said issues
-Ability to perform data analysis to determine test case accuracy and validity
Working knowledge and system administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows environments
Good organizational skills and detail-oriented
Excellent communications skills within an engineering team
***Highly Desired: Experience working on SPADOC and/or space situational analysis or space orbital analysis highly desired.
***Highly desired: Experience working on NISSC II Products/Applications (i.e. SDS, SISP, CAVENet, CSO WAN, CPS, and other legacy space assets).
***Highly desired: Experience with Agile Development methodologies.
